Crocheted Headphone Ear Pads

The foam sheet on my headphones was wearing out and i was thinking of buying a new headphone. When i was browsing thru’ the internet the crocheted headphone ear pads captured my attention. I pinned it immediately. Later i googled for instructions and found the one in the blog craftbits easy to follow. However i have to customize it as the size of my headphones are big and i had to go for 10 rounds. Followed first 4 rounds as in the blog. For round 4, i replaced all hdc by sc as instructed as i have round head phones. 20 st till round 4. Rnd5: 1 sc in first sc. 2 sc in next sc. *1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Slip stitch with first sc. Ch1. (30 sc) Rnd6: Repeat round 4 (remember to replace hdcs with scs). (40 st) Rnd7: Repeat round 5. (60 st) Rnd8: Dec over first 2 scs. 1 sc in next sc. * Dec over next 2 scs, 1 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Sl st with first sc. Ch1. (40 st) Rnd9: 1 sc in first 2 scs. Dec over next 2 scs. *1 sc in next 2 scs, Dec over next 2 scs. Repeat from * around. Sl st with first sc. Ch1. (30 st) Rnd10: Dec over first 2 scs. 1 sc in next sc. *Dec over next 2 scs, 1 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Sl st with first sc and fasten off (20 st).

I had to stretch the cover over the ear pieces and it fitted tightly over the piece.

I enjoyed crocheting this and happy with the outcome.

Well, I listened to sounds with these crocheted ear pads headphones and there is no noticeable difference between this and foam ear pads. Hope you will like it.

Granny Square Bag

A small granny square bag made with 10 granny squares. Squares were joined using single crochet method by keeping wrong sides facing each other. For crocheting the handles followed the steps given in the blog Thegreendragonfly and did the inner and outer rounds of the handles.

Hope you’ll like the bag.
